A Pakistani Polymerduniya source reports that a Saudi Arabian supplier has offered polypropylene injection grade cargo for August 2025 shipment to Karachi Port at a price of USD 1,070 per tonne CFR. This offer arrives at a premium to recent observed levels, where Pakistan’s PP injection prices typically ranged between USD 950–990/mt CFR in previous months.
Market watchers note that such elevated offers approximately USD 80–120/mt above prevailing benchmarks, may reflect specific quality credentials, contractual terms, shipment timing, or logistical considerations. This pricing gap may influence the willingness of local converters to engage, especially in the absence of crystallized demand from downstream sectors.
