Europe Holds Steady as Asia Sees Uptick in Propylene Pricing

In Europe, propylene prices remained unchanged on Monday, with both spot polymer-grade and CIF NWE levels assessed at €750–760/mt FD NWE, reflecting no movement from Friday’s marks. An anonymous industry source reported that weak sentiment prevailed, characterized by lackluster buying activity and fragile demand fundamentals across the region’s downstream segments. Consequently, buyers have adopted a cautious, “wait-and-see” approach amid persistent market volatility.

In contrast, the Asian market saw a modest increase in propylene prices on the same day. FOB Korea assessments rose to USD 740–750/mt, up USD 5/mt from Friday’s levels, signaling renewed purchasing interest in the region.
