European Ethylene Prices Hold Steady Despite Rising Energy Costs; Asia Sees Modest Gain

On Wednesday, European ethylene prices remained stable even as upstream energy costs moved higher, reflecting steady buying interest across regional markets. An industry source in Europe, speaking on condition of anonymity, told a Polymerduniya team member that prices held constant largely due to sustained purchasing activity.

Ethylene prices in Europe were assessed at USD 845–855/mt CIF NWE, unchanged from Tuesday. FD NWE ethylene levels also remained steady at Euro 750–760/mt.

In contrast, Asia registered a modest uptick. Ethylene prices in North East Asia were assessed at USD 825–835/mt CFR, marking an increase of USD 5/mt from the previous day’s levels.
