Dubai Trader Floats Competitive N-Propanol and N-Propanil Offers for Pakistan’s September Imports

Pakistan’s chemical market is witnessing fresh activity as a Dubai-based trader has reportedly extended new offers for September 2025 shipment of key solvents. According to industry sources, the trader is said to be offering N-Propanol (pure grade, South Africa origin) at around USD 1,100 per metric ton, while N-Propanil (technical grade) is being pitched at about USD 900 per metric ton.

Both parcels are offered on a CFR Karachi port basis, meaning the quoted prices include the cost and freight up to Pakistan’s main seaport. Market participants note that these offers arrive at a time when regional demand for industrial solvents is showing signs of revival, spurred by increased activity in coatings, pharmaceuticals, and specialty chemical applications.

Importers and downstream manufacturers in Pakistan are expected to monitor the deal closely, as the pricing could influence short-term procurement strategies and set a benchmark for subsequent negotiations in the South Asian market. While the trader’s name remains undisclosed, the move underscores Dubai’s continued role as a critical hub for chemical trade between Africa and South Asia.
