Iranian LLDPE Film Offer Drops to USD 875-885/mt for October, FCA Arak

In a fresh development out of the CIS region, a source reports that an Iranian trader has quietly floated an offering for Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Film grades (Iran origin) in the USD 875-885 per metric tonne range. The deal is structured for delivery in October 2025, on an FCA Arak basis.

The move marks a noticeable softening in pricing compared to prior months, reflecting shifting market dynamics, from supply pressure to changing export demand. Market watchers suggest the trader’s pricing may be aimed at tapping into buyers’ caution that has built up over recent quarters.

Arak, being one of Iran’s industrial hubs with established polymer export routes, makes the FCA-basis offer more credible, transporting costs and inland logistics from that region tend to be well-understood by regional purchasers.

Industry insiders are now eyeing how competing feedstock cost, foreign currency fluctuations, and regional shipping rates may influence whether this offering triggers buying or prompts further downward pressure.

If this pricing holds, it could set a benchmark for similar offers out of Iran in the coming months, especially as producers seek to clear inventory ahead of year-end and respond to demand curves in downstream markets.
