South Asian Supplier Reportedly Offers LLDPE Film at USD 860/mt for October Shipment to China

A recent update points to fresh movement in the polyethylene market. Sources in China report that a producer from South Asia has offered Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) film grade at about USD 860 per metric ton. The shipment is scheduled for October 2025 and quoted on a cost-and-freight basis to China’s main ports.

The price level stands out because it sits near the lower end of current market discussions, suggesting the supplier may be looking to secure volume before the year closes. Importers in China are watching closely as demand for film-grade LLDPE shows early signs of strengthening after a slow summer.

With freight already included under the CFR terms, buyers have a clear view of the landed cost. How competitors respond, whether they match this level or hold firm, will help set the market tone as the final quarter of 2025 unfolds.
