US Propylene Contract Prices Roll Over for September

Propylene contract prices in the United States have settled for September 2025, with no change from the previous month. According to a local industry source, polymer grade propylene was agreed at 35.50 cents per pound, while chemical grade settled at 34.00 cents per pound. Both values represent a rollover from August levels.

The outcome reflects a market that remains steady but cautious. Despite ongoing discussions about supply balances and the muted tone of downstream demand, there was little momentum to push prices in either direction. Participants suggest that stability was the most practical outcome, with fundamentals offering no strong case for adjustment.

As attention shifts to October, market players will be watching closely for signs of a change in sentiment. For now, September’s rollover underlines a period of relative calm in the US propylene market, even as broader energy and feedstock dynamics continue to shape the backdrop.
