US Polymer Grade Propylene Prices Slip on Weaker Demand, Trading Lull

Polymer grade propylene (PGP) prices edged lower in the US on Tuesday, weighed down by muted trading activity and subdued demand.

An industry source in the US, speaking on condition of anonymity, told a team member that spot PGP prices declined as market momentum remained soft.

Spot delivered PGP was assessed at 29.00–29.50 cents/lb FD US Gulf, down by 2 cents/lb from Monday’s levels. In contrast, refinery grade propylene (RGP) prices held steady, assessed at 27.50–28.00 cents/lb FD US Gulf.
