Crude Oil Slips as Brent and WTI Retreat on Weak Sentiment

Oil benchmarks edged lower on Tuesday, with both Brent and WTI crude futures closing in the red. Brent crude for December 2025 delivery settled at USD 66.32 per barrel, after trading between a high of USD 66.83 and a low of USD 66.10. The contract slipped by 77 cents on the day, marking a 1.15% decline.

WTI crude also moved down, with the November 2025 contract ending at USD 62.67 per barrel. Prices fluctuated within a narrow band, touching a high of USD 63.25 and a low of USD 62.46. The contract fell by 78 cents, representing a 1.23% drop.

The weakness reflects a fragile sentiment in global oil markets, where traders remain cautious in the face of demand uncertainties and shifting macroeconomic signals. With both benchmarks under pressure, the market appears to be consolidating, awaiting clearer direction from supply cues and broader economic trends.
