CFR North East Asia ethylene prices were assessed on Tuesday at USD 785-795/mt, unchanged from Monday’s levels.
Meanwhile, CFR South East Asia ethylene prices were assessed on Tuesday at USD 885-895/mt, remaining unchanged from Monday’s assessment.
In plant news, Jiangsu Sierbang Petrochemical (Sailboat) has shut down its methanol-to-olefins (MTO) plant in mid-April 2025 for maintenance. Further information on the duration of the suspension could not be obtained. The MTO factory, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, produces 360,000 mt of ethylene per year.
