Ethylene prices held firm across Europe and Asia on Tuesday, with markets showing little activity amid a backdrop of economic uncertainty and cautious buying sentiment.
In Europe, ethylene prices were stable at USD 845–855/mt CIF North-West Europe (NWE) and €750–760/mt FD NWE, mirroring Monday’s levels. An industry source in Europe noted that while supply remained ample and demand steady in downstream ethylene-related segments, other end-user sectors saw minimal activity. Producers maintained prices, but many buyers stayed on the periphery, reluctant to commit in a fragile economic climate.
Meanwhile, Asia also reported unchanged prices, with ethylene assessed at USD 820–830/mt CFR North-East Asia, unchanged from Monday.
