The European ethylene contract price for October 2025 has been finalized, with no change from the previous month. A market source told that the settlement was agreed at €1130 per metric ton FD North West Europe, mirroring September’s level.
The rollover comes as little surprise to industry players who had anticipated stability amid balanced fundamentals. On one side, softer demand from downstream sectors provided little room for an increase, while on the other, steady production costs and supply conditions helped prevent a downward adjustment.
For now, the unchanged contract signals a cautious equilibrium in the European ethylene market. Participants suggest that attention will soon shift to November, with questions over whether demand recovery or cost movements could nudge the price away from its current holding pattern.
