On Wednesday, propylene prices in Europe moved lower as weak regional demand and sufficient availability weighed on sentiment. An industry source in Europe told a Polymerduniya team member that the market remained under pressure, with limited buying interest and ample supply driving prices down.
CIF NWE propylene was assessed at Euro 735–745/mt, marking a decline of Euro 15/mt from Tuesday’s levels. Spot polymer grade propylene, however, held steady at Euro 705–715/mt FD NWE, unchanged day on day.
In contrast, Asia recorded a modest increase. FOB Korea propylene was assessed at USD 745–755/mt, up by USD 5/mt from the previous day, supported by firmer regional sentiment.
