Fuhaichuang Petroleum and Petrochemical is poised to bring its Orthoxylene (OX) facility back online by the end of August 2025, according to reliable Polymerduniya sources. The Gulei-based unit, which paused operations in late June for scheduled maintenance, carries an impressive production capacity of 240,000 metric tons per year.
Strategically located in the petrochemical hub of Gulei, this plant forms a crucial part of Fuhaichuang’s broader operations in the region, drawing on the inherited legacy of the former Dragon Aromatics complex.
The restart of this high-volume OX facility arrives at a pivotal moment for China’s petrochemical industry, where balancing domestic demand against rising capacity remains a persistent challenge.
