Jiaxing Jinyan Chemical Shuts Ethanolamines Plant for Maintenance

Jiaxing Jinyan Chemical has commenced a planned shutdown of its ethanolamines production facility in Zhejiang, China. A Polymerduniya source confirmed the plant went offline on August 4, 2025 for maintenance, although the expected duration of the outage remains unspecified.

The plant has an estimated production capacity of approximately 80,000 mt/year. While Jiaxing Jinyan Chemical has yet to release further details regarding when operations will resume, the shutdown is part of scheduled upkeep aimed at maintaining operational efficiency and safety.

As the industry monitors downstream supply dynamics, this interruption could tighten ethanolamine availability in the region, potentially impacting adjoining feedstock and derivative markets.
