SABIC Announces Fresh Polyethylene Offers to Pakistan Across LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE Grades

Saudi producer SABIC has released new polyethylene offers to Pakistan, covering a range of grades for upcoming shipments. Market sources reported that LLDPE 118WJ was offered at USD 1,040/mt, while LLDPE 119ZJ was quoted slightly lower at USD 1,030/mt. HDPE 952 was priced at USD 980/mt, and LDPE 4024WN stood at USD 1,170/mt.

The latest offers arrive as Pakistani buyers weigh fresh procurement decisions against a backdrop of cautious sentiment, high inflation, and persistent currency pressure. While polyethylene demand in the region remains steady, traders noted that price competitiveness will play a decisive role in driving transaction volumes, particularly with alternative cargoes from other Middle Eastern and Asian suppliers available in the market.

Market participants added that SABIC’s pricing levels are expected to act as a reference point for negotiations, potentially shaping import sentiment into September as buyers balance supply needs with tight liquidity conditions.
