TCL Specialties USA (TCL USA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd India (TCL India), is moving on with the construction of petrochemical and superb chemical substances/food additives plants in West Virginia, USA. The location is located inside an existing complex near New Martinsville, WV.

According to the company, Phase I of the investment is in the advanced stages of construction and has a budget of approximately $200 million. These facilities include a petrochemical plant designed to produce over 40,000 tons/year (90 million pounds/year or more) of maleic anhydride from nearby butane, as well as a Food Ingredients/fine chemicals plant with the initial goal of producing 30,000 tons/year (66 million pounds/year).
