Tianjin Bohai, a major Chinese petrochemical company, resumed polypropylene (PP) production in Tianjin, China, on February 24, following scheduled maintenance.
Maintenance at the 300,000-tonne/year propylene facility began on February 6 of this year. Tianjin Bohua imposed force majeure on PVC and PP supplies from its Nangang Industrial Park complex in Tianjin in early July 2023, as previously reported. Tianjin Bohua also closed its propylene oxide production facility owing to an explosion in the hydrogen peroxide oxidation tower.
