Ethylene prices in the United States slipped on Thursday as deals were finalized at reduced levels. An industry source told a Polymerduniya team member that the decline reflected softer trading sentiment in the market.
Prices were assessed at 22.00–22.50 cents/lb FD US Gulf, marking a drop of 0.50 cents/lb from Wednesday’s levels.
In contrast, Asian markets remained stable. Ethylene prices in Northeast Asia were assessed unchanged at USD 825–835/mt CFR, highlighting a steady trend despite the weakness in the US market.
